What is a "core" and why am I being charged an additional $100?
We understand how important it is to receive a quality, rebuilt ECU quickly so that you can get that car running again. Other companies require you to send your ECU to them and waiting weeks to have it repaired and sent back. This method is inefficient and frustratingly time-consuming.
As a nationally recognized and trusted ECU rebuilder, Motoguy's Garage avoids this problem by having customers return their defective ECU (core) to us AFTER they receive our rebuilt ECU and are back on the road. A $100 refundable deposit is collected to ensure we receive your ECU so that other customers have access to our extensive inventory at industry-leading prices.
How do I return my ECU core to you?
Included in your purchase price - a prepaid and pre-addressed return box has been provided for you to conveniently send your damaged ECU core back to us without any additional shipping expenses.
How long will it take for my core deposit to be refunded?
We process ECU cores bi-monthly. Depending on your individual credit card company, it may take up to 15 business days to show up on your account after a core has been processed.
Do you have EPROM ECUs available for sale?

You can locate your part number by looking at the ECU case. A sticker with the respective part number should be easily visible.
