The highest quality rebuild begins with our dedicated technicians who take pride in their work and specialize only in DSM Engine Control Units. Unlike other companies who rush to complete as many rebuilds as possible, our technicians understand that to do the job right the first time, you cannot take any shortcuts.
Our Rebuilding Process is Second to None
- We take the extra time to not just remove the capacitors but to carefully remove all the affected components in order to effectively neutralize and clean the acid from each circuit board with our proprietary neutralizing solution (Pictures 1-3).
- In addition to this, each ECU is placed in a secondary cleansing bath to ensure no further contaminants remain on the board.
- Finally the ECU is meticulously reassembled and repaired with only the best components available (Pictures 4 and 5).
Thorough and Extensive Testing
- We test each ECU three different ways. Immediately after a rebuild, each ECU is bench tested with our own exclusive DSM Diagnostic Tool (Picture 6). This process includes a 62 point continuity test to verify the electrical integrity of each pin and its related circuitry.
- Secondly, each ECU is extensively road tested in one of our shop cars to ensure that the ECU operates properly under both cold (closed-loop) and hot (open-loop) conditions (Picture 7).
- Finally each ECU undergoes a thorough in-car diagnostic evaluation using innovative computer software to make sure all parameters and sensor circuits are operating properly. This includes using our own exclusive DSM Idle Air Control (IAC) emulator to verify idle control functionality (Picture 8).
